Marketplace Specialist
Job summary
We are seeking a results-driven and analytical e-commerce Marketplace Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our product presence on key online marketplaces.
You will play a crucial role in developing strategies to increase sales, improve product visibility, and enhance the overall customer journey. You will work closely with our existing external agencies, auditing account performance and helping implement strategic improvements. The role requires a strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, digital marketing, and data analysis.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee and manage product listings on various online marketplaces, including Amazon Seller/Vendor Central, Walmart, and Shopify.
- Develop and execute Amazon store optimizations and advertising strategies (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, DSP) focusing on ROAS, TACoS, and profitability aligned with company goals—alongside our agency.
- Optimize product listing, including titles, descriptions, images, keywords, and A+ content to maximize visibility and improve search engine rankings.
- Perform daily and weekly analysis of campaign performance; proactively flag issues and work with agency to make optimizations.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, conversion rates, and ROI to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with operations and fulfillment teams to maintain accurate inventory levels and resolve any order or shipping issues.
- Prepare and present performance reports, providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Stay current with marketplace trends and competitors to communicate impacts and opportunities to the team.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field is preferred.
- 3+ Years proven experience in an e-commerce or marketplace management role, with direct experience on Amazon Seller Central, Amazon Campaign Manager.
- Proven track record in Amazon PPC management with data-driven optimization strategies.
- Familiarity with Walmart Marketplace and Shopify operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data.
- Results oriented and self-motivated
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Bilingual: English and Spanish a plus
